The branched chain amino acids (BCAAs) belong to the group of so-called essential amino acids, consisting of Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine. These are called essential, because the body cannot make them itself. They account for 35% of the essential amino acids in muscle proteins.
Standard BCAA products usually contain a 2:1:1 ratio of Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine. BCAA Complex sets a new standard in which the ratio of the amino acid Leucine is 8:1:1 compared to the other BCAAs. With this ratio, you don't need to increase the total dosage of the product to get a high level of Leucine. Leucine increases the build-up of proteins in the muscles. Isoleucine contributes to faster muscle recovery and contributes to the maintenance of good blood sugar and energy levels.
